American M1936 pistol belt. This was the standard pistol belt used in WW2 by the US Army. It was used by anyone not armed with the Garand rifle or the B.A.R. as they had there own special belts to carry ammunition. The M1936 pistol belt was used by all Branches of Service in the US Army including Infantry, Paratroopers, Armoured and M.P.'s.

The belt is adjustable and available in two sizes. Measurements are the actual belt lengths, you will need to allow extra length to allow the belt to be worn over jackets etc.

  • Regular Adjustable in length from 21"to 42" (54 to 107cm).
  • Long Adjustable in length from 30" to 55" (76 to 140cm).

 

New reproduction made in the correct OD#3 which is more commonly called tan or khaki.

 

There are three rows of eyelet's, the top row is to attach the M36 suspenders, the middle row allows the belt to be adjusted in size (the hook on the back of the belt clips into these) and the bottom row allows pistol holsters and first aid pouches etc. to be attached.

On the front of the belt there is a female side of a press stud fitted which is designed to hold the Colt 45 magazine pouch in place also on the front there is a "U.S." stamped on to the belt.

As a rough guide the Regular belt generally fits up to a 38" waist and theLong fits up to a 50" waist, this depends on how much clothing you are wearing though. To check your size wear your uniform then measure around your body where you want to wear the belt and order the belt size accordingly.
